UK based organization donates Medication worth 420,000 to ESTH

By Sailu Bah Ida Bass Kindey Foundation, a UK based charitable organization founded by a Sailey Jallow Fladsrud Gambian in June 2013, has donated medical items worth D420, 000 to the Edward Francis Small teaching hospital for the second time. Mr. Muhammed Saho, Deputy Health promotion and Education officer, thanked the donors on behalf of the Government.“These items will help the patients a long way to cure their diseases,” he assured. In receiving the items, the Chief Medical Doctor at Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, Ammar Al-Jafari, expressed gratitude and hope that this kind of gesture will continue. Sailey Jallow Fladsrud, the founder and donor, said this is the second time they are donating such kind of materials to the hospital and promised that they would donate more every 2 or 3 months to the EFSH for the kidney patients. “I was motivated when my mother died last year through a kidney failure, so I decided to come with this initiative to help the Hemodialysis Unit in the ESTH,” she explained. She said they are donating 30 boxes of  acute catheters + other dialysis consumable and 20 boxes of dialysis, 30 boxes of bloodlines and 30 boxes of Bicarbonate cartridges. She said the patients would really benefit from this gesture and further said that she is thanking her staff and her associates who help in the work.]]>
