Native of Kunkujang Keita Distribute Face Masks to Police Stations and Markets

Amadou Tijan Bah a native of kunkujang keita has on Tuesday 21st April 2020 distributed face masks to his community.

The face masks were mainly donated to Police Stations and vendors at markets within Kunkujang, Wellingara and Old Yundum.

Amadou Tijan Bah in collaboration with the Red Cross Society embarked on this initiative with the aim of raising awareness in the communities on the preventive measures against COVID-19.

“We are distributing these face masks to the peoples so that they prevent themselves when they are in public” Momodou Alieu Jallow, a member of the Red Cross said.

Modou Sanneh President of the Red Cross said they are participating in the distribution of face masks to make sure that people are aware of COVID-19 and follow WHO guidelines on safety precaution measures.

Jallow added that most of the countries have started distributing face masks to the public so that the extent of the deadly disease could be reduced, adding Gambia is now experiencing more cases of Coronavirus.
