Readers are being informed of prominent personalities like Ousmane Sonko, Bougane Gueye, Basirou Djomaye Faye, Aminata Touray and others have had questions raised about their candidature at one stage or another of the nomination process.
Apparently, there is a fixed date for the end of nomination, 15th January, 2024. Those with queries in the first leg of the assessment process can appear before the constitutional council for determination of their queries. So far a number of people who were initially rejected have been able to get their nomination papers in order or show that they were in fact in order, and are now to be included in the list of participants.
At the end of the reconciliation process on 15th January, 2024, the list of candidates will be announced.
