There are those representatives who see politics as a career to earn a living that is above the ordinary standard of living of a country so as to be classified among the elites. Such people would be willing to say or do anything to get close to state power to enjoy the benefits.
On the other hand, there are those representatives who aim to serve country and people and are willing to turn their back at pomp and privilege in order to lift their people from poverty and underdevelopment.
The people have the choice to elect representatives. They will always get the type of representation they select through the ballot box. As the old saying goes, people reap what they sow.
