QUESTION OF THE DAY

According the IEC, no objections or appeals have been filed by citizens, but they have 2996 cases of double registration that they will present to the revising courts. The Office of the Chief Justice has issued a statement indicating that revising courts will resume sittings today, 6th September, 2021 at ten places.

If the matters are properly before the revising courts and the presiding magistrates are satisfied that cases have been made against the 2996 persons, it is expected that the names of these persons will be expunged from the lists of voters.

Foroyaa will be covering these cases.
