QUESTION OF THE DAY

The Comments made by Aja Yam Secka and Halifa Sallah’s response have gone viral and have completely overshadowed the space that the UDP should have occupied in the media in commemorating its 24th Anniversary.

One could fairly say that UDP has gained nothing from the comments of its deputy leader. Gambia now has 15 Political Parties with Legal Practitioners, Academics, long standing Parliamentarians and Ministers at the front seat.  The nation needs sober thinking and sober thinkers to prepare its future. Empty messaging bordering gossip, empty promises and profanities can  no longer enable a party to make any political gain. Parties should engage in sober reflection to determine who should speak on their behalf. If they make the wrong choices, they will pay the price.
