Budding Gambian talent Bubacarr Sanneh has landed himself another gong after getting voted as his club’s best Bubacarr Sannehperformer.

The 21-year-old who plays for Denmark First division club AC Horsens beat off a number of competitors to the silverware.

This is the defender’s second award in barely two years since joining the club from local Gambian club Real de Banjul initially on loan.

Sanneh has been a workaholic in defence and for his exploits secured the fans’ performer of the season trophy, the previous term.

The young stopper has endeared himself to club faithful for his inimitable displays especially this year, when his goal secured the club return to the Danish Super Liga after four years of second division football.

Reacting to the news, Bubacarr, who captained Gambia in the 0-0 draw to Zambia recently, said: ‘Thanks to the Coaches, Management and my teammates at AC Horsens for choosing me as the Club’s 2014/15 Best Player.’
He continued, ‘I feel so honoured and appreciative to all that have been involved to my development and career from the beginning to this stage!
‘Finally, my thanks to the FANS and SUPPORTERS who’ve been behind me all these years and praying for my success. Inshallah, things will always keep getting better with time..’

Sanneh has been linked to exit Horsens all season amid blizzard of interest from various clubs. Any chance of a move hinges on Horsens’s promotion to the first division which they’ve attained. Meaning, the centre-back could likely stay put or at least run down his remaining two-year contract.
