QCELL Promises 100 percent coverage by end 2016

Mr. Muhammed Jah, the CEO of QCell Ltd, a leading GSM service provider, has promised to provide 100 percent coverage in Muhammed Jah, QCELL CEOthe country by the end of 2016. He made this promise at Foni Bondali, West Coast Region, during the inauguration of one of the 10 health facilities refurbished by QCELL in different parts of the country with an estimated sum of 100 million dalasi.

The CEO/MD said since its inception 6 years ago, QCELL SUNUBUSS has been working tirelessly to bring Mobile telecommunication services, both voice and data, to the door steps of the Gambian public. Speaking about the achievements of the company he said, “Today we are at almost every village in The Gambia and aim to have 100% coverage of the entire country by the end of 2016.”

He added that the Qgroup is today one of the biggest investors and one of the biggest employers in The Gambia. He said further that for two years in a row, QCELL has been awarded the most compliant GSM Tax payer in the country.

He said their motivation to contribute to the development initiative of the government is what compelled them to come out with this multi million dalasi health project at the following health posts: BONDALI, ALBREDA, KUNTAIR, ILLIASSA, NGEYEN SANJAL, NJAU, KUNTAUR, KARANTABA TENDA, GARAWOL, BURENG with 24 hours electricity facility.

He said this shows that the company is not only here for profit, but also to plough back part of it to the community.

QCell won the award of the best GSM services provider in Africa awarded by African Network of Telecoms.
