The said staff notified this paper on Friday 26 September 2014 that they are being called for payment at the Ministry of works premises in Kanfing. The distraught staff who had endured suffering for lack of settlement of dues since the closure of GPTC in 2012 indicated that they were told that payment would be effected on Friday 26, Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 September 2014. According to them, they were informed by the Works PS that they would settle all the benefits due to them. The staff however said they asked for their social security and Credit Unions payment, but the Ministry said they are not responsible for that. It could be recalled that since the closure of the former GPTC company in 2012, a group of former staff were following the line ministry to settle the benefits due to them without avail. ]]>
