Yet-to-be capped Gambia-born Muhamed Keita will only decide where next he plays after starring the relegationMuhamed Keita 1 play-offs.

The Norwegian top flight came to an end last weekend with only teams involved in the play-offs active at the moment.

Keita’s Stabaek is one of clubs languishing in the play-offs after finishing third-from-bottom in the 16-team league. The Serrekunda-born has been a big part of the club since arriving on loan in August.

He has since scored a total seven league goals three being for Stabaek and four for previous side Stromgodset.

Should he plans to move, which looks likely, Muhamed wouldn’t be short of suitors with English second tier’s Fulham playing the waiting game on the striker after voicing interest in April.

Polish side Lech Poznan would be the happy party should interested clubs take the bold step of proposing a deal to sign the Gambian.

Keita is contracted to Poznan until 2017, meaning he has a year left on his current term but doesn’t want to return to Poland on the back of a nightmarish spell there. It’s for his fallout with parent club Lech Poznan which forced him to return to Norway on loan and would fancy extending his stay in the Scandinavian country or move to west of Europe.

Whatever that gets to happen in January, the 26-year-old is at the moment preoccupied with helping Stabaek retain their premier league status by spurring them out of the relegation play-offs.
