Fatoumata Touray, a Grade six pupil of New Jeshwang Lower Basic School, who has been diagnosed with bladder atrophy ailment at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital, has been referred for overseas treatment. Fatoumatta came to Foroyaa office accompanied by her mother with her medical report from the Hospital Management Board.
In the report, it is indicated that Fatoumata’s liver is normal in size and homogenous and the gall bladder is also normal in size and thickness. There was “No stone” seen. The report went further to show that the pancreas and spleen are normal and that both kidneys have a moderate dilation of pyelolineal. The report also shows an empty bladder as she was diagnosed with bladder astrophy and recommended for overseas treatment for better management and evaluation.
Awa John Ndimbalan, an authority from Fatoumata’s school indicated that “despite Fatoumata’s irregular attendance due to ill-health, she has proven to be a very bright, hardworking and respectful person to both her teachers and pupils alike. ‘‘I have no doubt that when she regains her health, Fatoumata will prove to be a young lady of good character and potential, who can achieve very good results in her life,” she stated.
