Agnes Macaulay, the Deputy Accountant General (DAG) of The Gambia, is overseeing the role of Accountant General as Momodou Lamine Bah, the former Accountant General (AG) and holder of this position, has been appointed as new Gambian Ambassador to the United States of America.
Ebrima Jallow, the communications officer at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs (MoFEA), told Foroyaa via WhatsApp message that there is no update yet on the appointment of a new Accountant General for the Ministry of Finance.
“The position of AG (Accountant General) is currently acted upon by the Deputy AG, Agnes Macaulay,” he said.
Momodou Lamine Bah’s appointment as new Gambian Ambassador has been confirmed by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, after being in the position of Accountant General of the Gambia since 2014.
Bah was also a Financial Management Specialist (Consultant) from 2005 to 2009, and a Project Manager (Consultant) from 2009 to 2014 at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs (MOFEA/AGD) for the establishment and implementation of the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMIS).
