Aware of increased overtures from foreign clubs towards Pa Modou Jagne, Swiss Super League club FC Sion has pa-modouslapped a hefty price tag on their Gambian defender, Foroyaa Sport can reveal.

Pa Modou is the subject of speculations with reports linking him with a likely move when the transfer window re-opens in January.

Tottenham Hotspurs, Everton and Stoke are one of interested suitors chasing the former Gambia Ports Authority man’s signature.

Coach Pochettino is keen on adding one more defender to provide competition to the left-back position and amid rivalry from Everton and Stoke, the  London club remain buoyed of  acquiring the Scorpion’s signature with promise of top-four finish which could mean Champions League football next season.

There is also Spanish flavour to the race to secure Nda’s services with Sulayman Marreh’s La Liga club Granada, who are beset by defensive howlers since start of the Spanish season, also in pursuit.

And aware of the gargantuan of enquires towards their star left-back, Swiss club FC Sion quickly moved to tie down the Gambia international to an improved extended three-year contract immediately he returned from injury.

Meaning, interested clubs must be willing to cough up in excess of 1.25m euros to tempt the Sion club board into coming to the negotiation table.

Pa Modou was ruled out for close to six months following a head fracture he sustained before resuming football in recent months. He’d starred in nine games so far and is an invaluable in Sion’s audacious try for the Swiss Super League title this campaign.

It is strongly believed, Pa might not see out the entire season with the Red and Whites when the transfer window opens with a like move to England or Spain strongly favoured.
