Modou Barrow yesterday evening set a national record to be the 
first Gambian to have played in the English Premier League, Foroyaa Sport can report.
The 21-year-old who signed for the club on loan basis from Swedish second tier side Ostersunds with a option to a permanent deal, came off the bench to make his first premier league home debut against Arsenal, in front of over twenty-thousand spectators at the Liberty Stadium, replacing Emnes in the 67th minute.

Subject transfer hassle, Barrow who eventually signed for the Wales-based club in a fee reportedly 1.7 million pound, will hope his debut impressed coach Monk to accord him more playing time in coming games.
