By Sulayman Bah The football federation has confirmed that the interview of coaches is BJL leagueongoing as they are in the process of securing a coach for the various national teams, Foroyaa Sport was informed. The managerial positions of five of the Gambia’s national teams , namely the U-17, U-19, U-20 and the senior squad –are vacant since last year following the country’s failure to qualify in all international competitions. The latest seat left empty is that of the senior national team coach, following the nullification of Bonu Johnson’s contract by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MOYS). However, the initiative has been taken to fill these top vacancies which were initially advertised and now it is the interview of candidates. “Yes we are interviewing them (coaches) but once we are ready we will make it public,” Ebou Faye, a GFF VP doubling as Independence Stadium manager, confirmed to Foroyaa Sport. The federation would not be drawn to disclose the coaching level being considered or the names of short-listed coaches. The senior scorpions have been without a competition since the victory over Taifar Stars of Tanzania in 2013 and consequently continue to falter on FIFA rankings.]]>
