ITALIAN INVESTORS (ALUWORLD) ARRIVE IN THE GAMBIA

CESARE RICCHETTS Chambers of Commerce has announced in a press release, the arrival of investors from Italy to the Gambia. Oluworld, the investors, have their headquarters in Italy but operate in many European countries. They are dealers and manufacturers in Aluminium windows and doors, Aluminium curtain walls, and Aluminium sliding doors. The release quotes Mr Drammeh as saying that the Gambia is a stable country and a gate way to most West African countries. “This is why the Italian company want to open their headquarters in Banjul and be operating all over Africa,” the release asserts. Most of their products are designed by Indians and Aluworld have customers all over Africa among them Togo and Congo.  Most of their products are sola type. According to the release, a proposal for Gambians to manage the company after they have undergone training at the Aluworld head office in Italy was discussed; that Gambians will be directly benefiting from Aluworld ranging from employment to their products. In this regard a business forum was held on 16 February for the delegation to formally introduce Aluworld company and discuss with stakeholders, business persons, investors and individuals. At the forum held at Senegambia Beach Hotel, the CEO of Aluworld Mr Cesare Ricchet affirms the commitment of Aluworld to invest in the Gambia whiles promising quality products for the Gambia. “Aluworld is a new company recently established in the Gambia and has been known as Alpar in Italy, Russia and United states for the past 40 years, producing high grade quality fashioned Italian Aluminium doors and windows,  Aluminium curtain walls, sliding doors, partition, office furniture for all types of construction  i.e public building, offices, private homes and industries, shopping centers, cooporate buildings and hotel projects.” Among the speakers at the investors’ Forum on the 16th February was the Minister for Transport, Works and Infrastructure, the permanent Secretary Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment and Mr Abdoulie Hydara of GIEPA.]]>
