The roofs of the house of the Imam of Jiboro Kuta and two others were blown away by heavy wind on Monday, 15th June 2020.
The wind storm began at around 12 to 1 in the morning and caused destruction to properties.
Muhammed Njie, the Imam said the wind storm took away the roof of his house, adding 4 packets of corrugate were used to cover the roof of his house.
“Right now, I will use old corrugates to roof my house since I don’t have any support. I need help from people,” he said.
Tijan Jallow, a resident said the wind removed half of the roof of his house. Jallow said the damage he incurred cost close to hundred thousand dalasis. Like the Imam, Jallow is also seeking for assistance.
Babina Drammeh, renowned as Muhammed Drammeh said the roof of his cousin brother’s house was blown away by the wind. Drammeh said the house is under his watch. He lamented that his brother Morikebba Camara is not financially strong and needs assistance.
Drammeh said the damage cost him about one hundred and twenty thousand dalasis.
