WHERE IS TOURAY DARBOE?
Since April Demba Touray Darboe has been under detention without trial in gross violation of section 19 of the Constitution. We have exposed the worries of his aging mother who has said that he has psychiatric challenges.
It is important for the state to recognise that long detentions without trial could also lead to the contracting of illnesses.
A person who has done nothing should not be punished but should be presumed innocent. It is for the courts to determine guilt.
