UNABLE TO GET COMMENT FROM THE BAR

By Kebba Jeffang

Foroyaa has not succeeded in getting the Bar Association to comment on the lawfulness and propriety of prosecuting, arresting or detaining a magistrate or judge for making a decision in the course of trial. The president of Bar is out of the country and this reporter has not been able to get the vice president to say anything on this.

Foroyaa has already published the comments of two very senior members of the Bar and was hoping that the Bar Association will take a position on the matter but this is still not forthcoming. We will gladly publish any statement the Bar Association may issue or any interview we may be granted on the matter.

Foroyaa will also attempt to get the views of one or two female lawyers on this matter and will publish them if we have them.
