Mustapha Jarju has sued his employers for wrongful termination of his contract, delay in payment of his wages Mustapha Jarju 2including refund of plane ticket, Foroyaa Sport understands.

The Gambian footballer filed a lawsuit against Irtysh Pavlodar to the Pavlodar City tribunal court demanding compensation.

The Kazakhstan Premier League club in June announced acquiring the Gambian’s services on a reported six-month deal but the team opted to terminate the agreement two months later during which the player has not played.

In the suit heard by the Pavlodar tribunal, the player made a host of claims against the aforesaid club –whom he did not play a minute football for –namely unlawfully termination of contract, late payment of salary, unpaid wages, compensation of unused days of vacation and refund of plane tickets.

Irtysh who finished sixth position in the Kazakhstani championship, admitted to breaking off the deal insisting the action was done in conformity with agreed terms.

But in a judgment issued last week, coming out in public only yesterday, the tribunal ruled in favour of the scorpion and found the club guilty of violating Kazakhstan labour laws urging it to compensate Mustapha.

About how much was reached as settlement fee wasn’t disclosed ,this paper understands.

Reached to sound his reaction to the court ruling, the player who is in his tenth season as a professional, preferred to remain mute over the issue.

The former SK Lierse, Raec Mons and Vancouver Whitecaps star will now be focused on possibly securing a new club January 2016 after his deal with Irtysh ends this December.
