Gambia’s Tijan Jaiteh will suffer demotion to the second tier after
his Sandnes Ulf side finished poorly this term.
Sandnes trading in the Norwegian top flight hasn’t the best of starts to this year’s league crusade enduring strings of defeats in the commencement of the championship- a trend that proved the devastating catalyst to the club’s relegation.
Sandnes’s position in the standings is miles away from their impressive 10th-placed finish in the previous run.
They were held to a draw in a six-goal-thriller encounter against Start on Sunday with Tijan getting subbed ten minutes from time. Jaiteh and co have just 22 points in as many games.
The 25-year-old Scorpion midfielder joined the club this season and will be into the end of the final 12 months of his contract when the season resumes in the second division.
Prior to his demotion, the ex-GPA man was the sole Gambian in the Norwegian Premier League.
