Tijan Jaiteh has debuted for Finnish club after been given work permit.
The 27-year-old midfielder signed for KuPS on a 12-month contract recently but was been delayed by paper work bureaucracy which he received from the Finnish Football Federation only last Friday.
Despite late arrival of his permit, KuPS coach Rajamarki went ahead to include the Gambia international in the 18-man squad before handing him automatic start against Ilves.
The playmaking ace starred till end of the game but got booked in the 50th minute for an infringement in an opening league game they lost 1-0.
In the same league, Mamut Saine was ruled out in the second game but got to start in the opening fixture against champions SJK.
In that game, the former Seaview starlet featured for 64 minutes before been replaced. His team-mate and national team captain Abdou Jammeh fared to end of game time including the first fixture.
