Amid the deadly quite punctuating the GFF over making public
appointment of a coach, a plethora of names continue to be discussed with the matter in the rumour mill with a Swiss-born, Xamax Nuechatel, the latest linked to the Scorpions coaching job.Gambia’s coaching role has been void since Bonu’s contract
nullification and subsequent redeployment as the local-based team head
of tactician.
As usual of any coaching void, the surrounding euphoria and plethora
is bound to be high including speculations.
The football federation seemingly unending silence has only added to
the current looming air of anxiety. Efforts by Foroyaa Sport to get an
official to break the silence over the weekend proved vain.
Any coach assigned to lead the Gambia faces a mammoth task of leading
a team already late in preparations for the African Cup of Nations
2017 qualifiers.
