By Sulayman Bah Date for the official start of the Super Nawettan has been announced by the new Gambia Football Federation executive. Next month, November 2nd to be precise, is the date in which the annual community-based competition is expected to be played. The announcement from the Federation means that the on-going Nawettan football in the various zones around the country, should wrap up at least within this month October – twenty-nine days before the third division qualifiers tees off December 1st. President Lamin Kabba Bajo and team have unveiled the 2014-2015 calendar, barely seven days after officially assuming the management of national football management from the Normalisation Committee. The Super Cup – which sees a nail-biting capital rivalry to the core with FA Cup winners Banjul United to slug it out with league champions Real De Banjul– is scheduled to kick-start on 6th December, seven days to the commencement of the domestic league. The GFF leagues, according to the release, will commence in earnest on the first Saturday of November and ends on the last Saturday of May, with the Nawettan to tee-off on the first Saturday of May to 30th September. ]]>
