Hawks will have to try next term after losing to Wallidan in the round of 16 FA Cup duel.Sillah

A lone goal was all it took to erase out Hawks ambition for the FA Cup with powerful striker Ousman Sillah, pictured, to the rescue as Wallidan continues to flow on in a bid to defend their trophy they snatched from Gamtel’s grips last year.

In another clash, Marimoo got ousted by Tallinding United with a decisive only goal enough to get them through to the next round in what was a battle of second tier sides in the Cup competition.

Banjul United slalomed over second tier outfit Serekunda East-Bi beating them four- nil while Brikama United snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, getting over Armed Forces 5-4 on post-match penalties.

PSV Wellingara eased past league champions Gamtel trashing on them post-match kicks after a drab goalless full time.

Gambia Ports Authority on Wednesday dumped Real de Banjul out of the Gambian Cup dubbed Gambia Football Federation Cup.

The Ferry Boys who are also in the hunt for league are gunning for double trophy haul this campaign, and, by recent outings, look on track to clinch both the league and GFF Cup at least.

Post-match penalties were all they needed to settle the tie after they were held by Real de Banjul to a goalless full-time.

Modou Njie Sarr, whose departure from Real de Banjul was one shrouded by clouds of controversy returned to hunt his former side, smacking past goalkeeper Alagie Nyabally as his side Ports triumphed on a 5-4 spot-kick result.

It has been a dream start for gaffer Alagie Sarr whose men had staggered in previous seasons and failed to rise to the billing when the occasion demanded. However they look to have jelled well and Sarr is reaping the juices of being patient with his charges.
