The banning of the opposition coalition in Mali should be an early warning signal to opposition parties that call for coups d’etat and give support to military juntas, instead of coming together to promote genuine electoral system that would give undiluted choice of the people. The republic requires sovereign citizens who are capable of making informed choices to guide their destiny.
