By Sulayman Bah Winger SannaNyassi has been picked up by San Jose Earth Quakes after Sanna Nyassi 3been released by fellow Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire. Clubs in the MLS are allowed to tie down specific number of players including homegrown and internationals with the rest of the squad placed in the Expansion Draft –a kind of a window transfer annually for other clubs within the league to also pick from. Chicago announced their roster excluding Gambian winger Sanna. But San Jose Earthquakes has moved to sign the Scorpion having evaluated the player’s salary cap. Nyassi is so far the man to have been picked amongst three released Gambians trading in the league. Mamadou Futty Danso was yet to be taken by a club as we went to press after Montreal Impact released him, however, there are strong indications ofAbdoulieMansally being offered a contract renewal with Real Salt Lake. Nyassi joined the club from Montreal Impact in an exchange deal few months ago. Sanna is no stranger to the expansion draft rule having encountered the same procedure since start of his professional career in 2008.        ]]>
