She is devastated how was she to see Bimbo her cousin and confidante she has changed since she met Ted and messed up her life?
‘Dry Eye Cover Shame’
Efy visited Bimbo and found her preparing lunch she greeted and BImbola answered her with calm and cool attitude she was wretched but Bimbola refused to comment she learnt that she was in the village through her father whom Mama Aiye wanted to intervene and she eavesdropped them and got the information but she pretended she knows nothing. Efy cried and begged for forgiveness;
“Bimbola I am very sorry for being rude to you when you were trying to put sense into my empty skull please forgive me my friend and cousin.”
Bimbo
She reminded Efy of her insults;
“Efisiny! Are you not being funny? Am I not that jealous cousin who cannot see wealth and appreciate it? Am I not that jealous cousin who appreciates poverty and is going to marry a poor insignificant man in the person of Ademola? I am not interested in your problems please leave me alone to attend to my poor fiancé.”
Efy
“I was blinded by greed encouraged by my useless, irresponsible mother but please let me see Tunde or give me his number.”
Bimbo
She insulted Efy and cursed her;
“Are you not shameless? How can you asked me to give you Ade’ number when you betrayed him in broad daylight you are a married woman for God sake how can I allow you commit adultery with your ex? Get out of here and never come to my home again haven’t you driven me out of your home at the peak of your so called victory and your mother insulted and cursed me. Leave me alone for God’ sake.”
Papa Eku
He was reading newspaper and Efy came to him to express her woos;
“Papa why are you mute regarding my saga with Ted? Am I not your only daughter?”
Papa Eku
“Efisiny! Are you the one asking me to intervene in your saga with Ted? What did you tell me when I gave your my fatherly advice some months ago? Didn’t you ask me to nicely mind my business that you were not complaining? Please my daughter I did not give your hand in marriage to Ted your mother and uncle did please go to them to solve your problem/s.”
Efy
“I am rejected and dejected had I known I would have taken your advice but Mama and Ted stalked me.”
Papa Eku
“That is not true my daughter you were part of the drama and you fully partake into it but my surprise is that you are a graduate neither your mother nor Ted know anything compared to your knowledge and experience so how can you allow them to hoodwink you without your consent? You were taken over by the illicit wealth. You made your bed my daughter so lay on it didn’t you deny me food because I did not support your marriage?”
Efy
“Papa you are killing me softly by reminding me of my grave mistakes.”
Papa Eku
“But it has to be so for the rest of your life I am afraid.”
Mama Aiye
She still took ‘dry eye cover shame’ attitude and became the greatest enemy to her daughter and husband.
“I don’t care whatever they say but I owe no apology to any one for helping my daughter not to fall into my trap was a wise decision I made being unfortunate to come across Ted was no fault of mind. But I’ll never allow my daughter marry a poor man.”
Efy
“What type of mother are you to sell your only daughter to a notorious drug dealer? Look at me a natural beauty very wretched after few months stay with Ted your Don? I disown you mother I am going back to Tunde and if he rejects me I’ll commit suicide and my blood be on your hands.”
Papa Eku
Efy prepared his delicacy and served him but he refused it;
“I am a proud old man who told you I want food from this house? You denied me food and I have now found an alternative for now I am fine until later.”
Mama Aiye
She laughed and mocked at them as she ate the food she prepared for herself.
“I don’t care about you I’ve prepared my favourite dish and am enjoying it, delicious!”
Efy
“Okay dad I’ll wait patiently but whenever you need my food just order me dad and I would gladly prepare your delicacy.”
Papa took a non charlant attitude when they start to quarrel but Mama still blame him for Efy’ attitude.
Mama Aiye
“I don’t blame you but myself I gave birth to you I should have aborted you bloody fool! Your dad enjoys you disrespecting me without saying a word of caution to you but your own child will also disrespect you someday.”
Efy
“Am I not speaking the truth? Didn’t you sell your only daughter to a notorious drug dealer because of greed? Why did you reject Tunde who did everything for you is it not because of greed? I did not lie everything I said is the truth I should have listen to my dad’ wise counseling.”
At the City
Efy went to the city to visit Tunde who was very surprised to see her she apologized;

“My greedy mother lured me into Ted’ trap I did not love him but went by my mom’ whims and caprices you are the one I love I’ve come back to you please my love accept me back.”
Tunde
He was stunned and speechless but he still have some feeling for Efy.
