At Uncle Frank’ Residence

“I would do exactly that mom trust your daughter.”

“What is the latest dad what has the police find out?”
Uncle Frank
“Nothing as yet but I trust them let us give them more time.”
Hoti Hor
“What baffled me is that the kidnappers have not demanded for ransom what do they mean do they want to kill her but why?” She cried bitterly.
Uncle Frank
“Stop crying my daughter as it baffled me as well what do they want why did they adduct her? There are so many puzzles which only time can tell but I’ll keep trying and would never be discouraged. Eat your food to have the strength to pray for your cousin.”
Chief Kutubo and Mam
“Are you counting the days? I am very serious this time around get that into your head if you want me to be still your father.”
Mam Biram
“I am aware of the dead line and would surely hit it don’t you worry dad.” And he smiled but dad did not find it funny, he remain stern to give it the seriousness it deserve.
The Accident
Mandy came to the main road after perusing the jungle to escape the kidnappers as she rushed to cross she was knocked down by Dr. Mam who was heading home after a hectic work at the clinic he panicked and instead of taking her to the clinic he took her home he administered first aid and prayed for her recovery. Mandy was unconscious.
The Dilemma
“Should I take her to the clinic or treat her at home? If I do the former it would be scandalous the police and all that if I treat her at home and something happen how can I conceal it?” On second thought he took the latter and brought home everything she needs for rapid recovery and he ensured cleanliness became supreme to avoid infection.
Dr. Mam Biram
He went to his family and informed them of the accident but asked them to keep it a secret;
“I’ll ensure the girl received the best of treatment Insha Allah God will see us through.”
Chief Kutubo
“is it safe my son? You should avoid any scandal at this stage of your life and career what you did is illegal but I trust you as an efficient and effective doctor and surely Allah will see you through.”
Haja Oumu
“Are you supporting him to carry out this illegal activity what about God forbid if the girl dies? We should think of a worst case scenario to make a decision? Let him take her to the clinic and inform the police we can always make a nice story that favour us.”
Mam Biram
“I’ll go by dad’ suggestion and ensure I succeed am I not a capable doctor? I’ll take the challenge Mbassy what do you say?”
Mbassy
She thought hard and said;
“The deed has already been done let us minimize the mess I go by dad and brother’ decision.”

She became furious;
“I can see you all gang against me but I still stand by my view point.”

She came to Mam house to help nurse Mandy.” She did everything she learnt by the book and also prayed for her.
The Dream
Mandy dreamt to be in the wilderness where she found her mom who asked her to go back;

“Mama it is a wicked world I’ve come home to you here is very nice and I’ll no longer suffer.”
Aunty Joko
“No Amanda a beautiful world lies awaits you as your sorrows are about to end you are going to fight the battle against evil that we have started we died for you to enjoy a blissful life go back and now!” Mama Joko yelled in the dream but Mandy refused.
Mandy
“Am not going back I’ll stay here with you and you should take me to dad.”
Aunty Joko
She took a big stick and ran after Mandy;
“Don’t be stubborn go back your destiny awaits you.” She ran after Mandy as she ran away from her mother.
She sneezed and gradually opened her eyes;
“Where am I what am I doing in this strange house?” She asked in a feeble voice.
Mam Biram
He was getting scared and thought about mom’ worst case scenario concealing an accident until the girl died in the process. He opened the Quran and prayed loudly then he heard a noise coming from the guest room where the girl was then he rushed and found her wide awake and sat at the middle of the bed. He knelt down and prayed aloud;
“Oh God you are very kind she is alive! She is alive!”
Mandy
She was still surprise and asked;
“Where am I and what has happened?”
Mam Biram
“There was an accident my car knocked you down as I was returning home after attending to an emergency you were in coma for two days I was getting scared thinking I’ll lose you and face the law for concealing an accident and jeopardizing a patient’ life. What happened and where were you coming from in that fright you were running as if you were being pursued by danger then you hit my car and fell down. Tell me you story or some of your vital statistics until later.”
Mandy
“I am in a poor state of health but I can give you my vital statistics. I am Amanda Aminata Mandy for short I escaped from kidnappers who wanted to kill me on my Uncle’ instructions I am an orphan that’ what I can tell you for now. Give me some water to drink I am very thirsty.”
