By Sulayman Bah Gambian champions Real de Banjul has been drawn with a Liberian premier League club in Confederation of African Football Champions League, Foroyaa Sport can report. Barrack Young Controllers who are winners of the Liberian domestic will slug it out with Gambian league champions Real de Banjul after recent balloting paired the two. Real hosts the Monrovia-based club in the first-leg on 13th, 14th or 15th of February next year before traveling to fellow West African nation for the second-leg on 27th or 28th February. It appears next year’s event will be the Monrovia-based club’s first appearances in the Caf Champions League since its establishment in 1997 with limited information available on the club. What is though clear is, Barrack Young Controller initialed as BYC won their league, the Liberian Cup a quadruple times and the Super Cup twice. No Gambian team has reach the group stage of the prestigious event with Brikama United the only to have come close but Real De Banjul are tipped favourites to come out unruffled in the preliminary round of the qualifiers with an avalanche of experience in the Caf competition. Next year’s event will be the 19th edition of the Caf Champions League.]]>
