Gambia Ports Authority on Wednesday dumped Real de Banjul out of the Gambian Cup dubbed Gambia Football Gambia Ports Authority 1Federation Cup.

The Ferry Boys who are also in the hunt for the league are gunning for double trophy haul this campaign, and, by recent outings, look on track to clinch both the league and GFF Cup at least.

Post-match penalties were all they needed to settle the tie after they were held by Real de Banjul to a goalless full-time.

Modou Njie Sarr, whose departure from Real de Banjul was shrouded by clouds of controversy returned to hunt his former side, smacking past goalkeeper Alagie Nyabally as his side Ports triumphed on a 5-4 spot-kick result.

It has been a dream start for gaffer Alagie Sarr whose men had staggered in previous seasons and failed to rise to the billing when the occasion demanded. However they look to have jelled well and Sarr is reaping the juices of being patient with his charges.

Banjul United versus Serrekunda East-Bi, Gamtel against PSV Wellingara were in action as we went to press yesterday with Wallidan slugging it out with Hawks in the capital derby of round-16 of the FF Cup.
