The Gambia Police Force has revoked the bail of Bora Sisawo, who was initially arrested in connection to Facebook posts and comments he made some time ago, the Public Relations Officer of the Gambia Police Force Cadet Superintendent Modou Musa Sisawo has revealed.

“Following his invitation, he (Bora) was granted bail. However, as part of the ongoing investigation, the police on Wednesday 4th October 2023, took the decision to revoke his bail,” the Police PRO said. PRO Sisawo said Bora is currently being held at the Anti-crime Unit in Banjulunding, where he is actively cooperating with the police in their investigations.

“The investigation into this matter is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as necessary,” he stated.

If readers can recall, Foroyaa reported last week in one of its publications that the Police PRO said he could not confirm whether Bora was arrested, but could confirm that he saw him at the Kairaba Police Station on Wednesday, 4th October 2023, when he came to report.

He, however, told Foroyaa during the weekend, that he can now confirm that Bora’s bail was revoked and was currently held at the Anti-crime Unit in Banjulunding.

Foroyaa will continue to monitor Bora’s situation with the police and update its readers accordingly.
