By Kebba Jeffang Reporting on bail yesterday, Monday, 4 August, 2014, at the BanjulindingMarabout Hydara police station, Sheikh Muhideen Hydara, the Caliph General, and ‘Alkalo’ Buyeh Touray, both of Darsilami Sangajor in the Foni Kansala district, were asked by the Inspector General of Police, Yankuba Sonko, to report again on Wednesday, 6 August (tomorrow). The two were asked to report again to the same station. This happened when the IGP Sonko came there and told them that the bail is being extended as he has not yet received any information from the executive regarding the action to be taken as the matter was already referred there. It could be recalled that the Sangajor Darsilami marabout and the village ‘Alkalo’ were arrested on Wednesday, 30 July, and held for three days before being released on police bail and asked to be reporting. The two, as a result of a presidential directive, were arrested and detained for praying to mark Eid el Fitr or Koriteh on Tuesday, 29 July, rather than Monday, 28 July, as declared by the Supreme Islamic Council.]]>
