A delegation, including former Gambia gaffer and Normalisation Committee chairman Hon. Alagie Sillah Monday afternoon turned up at the stadium on an inspection of facilities. The NAMS’ tour of the Bakau-based stadium is part of the legislative branch of the Public Account and Enterprise Committee on-going reviewing of public institutions. The 35,000 capacity-seater stadium and Friendship Hostel has been in a deplorable condition of recent amid plea for renovation of the facilities. However, the NAMS’ move to visit the place followed the debut of the stadium manager before the committee earlier Monday morning. Parliamentarians in Banjul are understood to have insisted on taking a tour of the place including the stadium gym after the stadium manager’s report. ]]>
