Allah the Almighty stated in Sura Al Baqara V.155 – 157 that:
“Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods, lives and the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere;
Who say, when afflicted with calamity?
To Allah we belong, and to him is our return.
They are those on whom (Desceud) blessing from their Lord, and Mercy and They are the Ones that receive guidance.”
In Sura Al Baqara V.214, the Almighty states; “Or do ye think that ye shall enter the Garden (of Bliss) without sure (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They encountered suffering and adversity, and were so shaken in spirit that even the messenger and those of faith who were with him cried;
“when (will come) The help of Allah. Ah! Verily, the help of Allah is (always) near!”
A charismatic leader in the name of Serign Abdoul Aziz Sey Al Amin, who was the Khalif General of the Tijaniya Sect passed on peacefully on Thursday 21st September 2017 in Tivaone, in the sister Republic of Senegal. He was the Khalifa for just six months, when he took the reins of the caliphate from Sheikh Tijan Sey Al Makhtoum. The late Serign Abdul Aziz Sey Al Amin, was born in 1927.
The whole world offered their condolences on his demise. His relationship was not only with the Muslim brotherhood, but with Christian fraternity as well. His teachings were on Islam and how to build good relations between among neighbours.
The new Khalifa of the Tijaniya brotherhood is Serigne Babacarr Sy Mansour, commonly called Serigne Mbye Sey Mansour. He was born in 1932.
The Islamic Umaa including the Murid brothers and followers of Cheikh Omar Futiju Taal congratulate him. All the religious leaders in Senegal and around the world, congratulated him.
The Moroccan King Mouhammed, sent a delegation to present their condolence and congratulate the new Khalif. President Adama Barrow of the Gambia, sent a presidential delegation and a delegation from the Ahlu Tivaone Federation of the Gambia.
The Federation of Ahlu Tivaone therefore, would like to send profound gratitude to President Barrow, his Government and the entire people of the Gambia, for the support given to them and for facilitating their journey to Tivaone.
The Federation on behalf of my humble self, pray for his Government and the entire people of the Gambia and may the Almighty Allah facilitate the task his Government has for The Gambian people and the entire Muslim Umaa of the country.
