Magistrate Ebrima Jaiteh was arraigned in camera at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court Wednesday, November 11, 2015 after 
being charged with two counts of abuse of office and negligence of official duties. The matter was heard in the chambers of principal magistrate of Hilary Abeke.
He, and his lawyer Lamin S. Camara as well as a senior police officer were seen coming out of the chambers after the matter was adjourned.
However, a family source indicated that Mr. Jaiteh was charged with ‘Abuse of Office and ‘Negligence of Official duties’ but he denied the allegation. He said he was granted bail in the sum of D50,000 and the matter was adjourned till 25th November, 2015.
The source added that Mr. Jaiteh will be handing over all his files today, Thursday, 12 November, 2015.
