Lt. Col. Lamin Sanneh’s Mother Arrested

By Kebba Jeffang Mrs. Metta Njie, the mother of Lieutenant Colonel Lamin Sanneh, the former Commanding Officer of the State Guards and purported ring leader of the recent State House attack on 30th December 2014, was picked up from her home in Faji Kunda Dumos by operatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). Lt. Col. Sanneh’s relatives on Saturday, 3rd January, 2015, told this reporter that lt. Col. Sanneh’s mother was picked up by at least four  security operatives on Thursday, 1st January, 2015 and whisked away in a vehicle to an unknown destination. “They came with a vehicle and they identified themselves as the operatives of the National Intelligence Agency. We don’t know anything about the issues as we are in the dark regarding the situation,” said the family source. The relatives expressed despair and confusion regarding her whereabouts, adding that they have not set their eyes on her since her arrest.]]>
