By Sulayman Bah

Brikama United is continuing to turn the heat on leaders Ports and hoping that they stutter following their 1-0 Brikama Knock Cup Orlandowin over Wallidan.

Brikama now collects thirty-six points in 19 games, four points behind Ports who were forced to work up a sweat as fifth-placed Steve Biko held them to a goalless draw on Saturday.

GPA needed a win to see them stretch further their lead at the summit but on account of their stalemate with Bakau Giant Killers, Steve Biko, The Ferry Boys are forced to share the spoils with each getting a point.

Despite the slight blip though they remain top of the table on forty points in nineteen matches with five more games to end of the domestic championship.

Hawks fired blanks with SerreKunda United who moved up to second from bottom after this result on sixteen points.

Real de Banjul are third amassing thirty-four points on the heels of their slender 1-0 victory over Samger Football Club.

Placed-bottom Banajul United were also held down to a stalemate draw after their tie with champions Gamtel ended one-all.

Bombada gave Armed Forces a comprehensive battering, slicing them 3-1 as the West Coast Region outfit looks to finish decently after spending majority of the season shuttling just little above the relegation line.

They appear determined to wrap up the campaign on a high at least and their slaying of the Soldiers is a result testament.

In the second tier, the race for promotion remains tight with over five clubs slugging it out for the only two available slots. Marimoo leads on forty one points, one ahead of Tallinding United at second with Brufut United third.
