Bombada Football Club head coach Lamin Anthony Ceesay has downplayed his row with central referee during Lamin Anthony Ceesayhis side’s 3-1 win over Armed Forces.

Ceesay appeared to be involved in row from the touchline when he raised an alarm for substitution but the referee instead ordered for the match to continue.

And asked about it in post-match comment, Ceesay opted to play cautious about the subject insisting the referee needn’t have booked the player he subbed out.

‘I wasn’t talking to anybody (about the referee issue). The player was even jogging going out not walking and he (the referee) gave out a card,’ he says.

Bombada have been on a slight free-fall but pulled off the shocks in the GFF Cup where they’ve already booked a final ticket. Commenting on the sudden upward trajectory of the side, Anthony said, ‘Since we played our last game in the semi-final the FF Cup has boosted the morale of the team.

‘I have versatile players and intelligent ones especially Lama and Njandu are exceptional. The goal we conceded was a mistake. I can’t blame any one,’ he admits.
