The Gambia Center for Victims of Human Rights Violations will be launched today at COMITT, Kotu.
This organization is the offspring of the Committee for Victims of Human Rights Violation, which was a support group formed on 31 March 2017 by victims of human and civil rights violations committed by the Jammeh administration.
According to a press release, after the creation of the committee, as a result of consultation with current Government officials, civil organizations and NGOs, the Committee transformed into what is now called Gambia Center for Victims of Human Rights Violations. The GCVHR was subsequently registered as non- profit organization specifically to help human rights violations victims.
