Kanjabina United Takes On Late Tumani Bojang FC

Kanjabina Utd took on Late Tumani Bojang FC in the Berefet tourney. Both sides were determined to grasp the maximum points to earn their tickets into the next stages of the championship. The first 45 minute finished with a clean sheet for the two sides.

Sulayman Jammeh netted an opener for Kanjabina in 56 minute in the second period. As the contenders continued efforts to swap victory, Dohominic prerrier equalized for Lt. Tumani Bojang FC after haven converted a controversial spot kick into a goal in the early minutes of the second period. The game ended 1-1

Alagie Colley, head Coach of Kanjabina united expressed disappointed with the referee’s decision to award his opponents a penalty meant to compensate them to avert their early exit from the contest.

He said they will meet at committee level to decide whether to appeal against the penalty or withdraw from the tournament, describing the decision as community driven and maltreatment in the hands of the match officials, which he disclosed as reason behind his team’s nonparticipation t the championship for the past two years.

Efforts to sound the reactions of the Head Coach of Late Tumani Bojang FC proved futile due to his tight schedule shortly after the game.

Sutusinjang FC

In another development, Sutusinjang also contested with Jalokoto F C which ended 1-0 in favor of Sutusinjang with Molamin Jammeh’s lone goal in the early minutes of the second half.

Although Jalokoto dominated possessions in the first period and created chances, but were not luck to convert them into goals as Nuha Jarjue goalie for Sutusinjang was up to task.
