Ousman Jallow’s Finnish Champions HJK were held yesterday to a goalless draw by Kazakhstan’s Astana in the third
round of the Uefa Champions League qualifier first-leg.
Jallow joined the fray in the second-half but his inclusion didn’t change the score as it was too late too little to make a difference.
His countryman Demba Savage starred till end of time featuring as a winger. 26-year-old Ous was expected to start the game.
But the ex-Wallidan man was left to join from the bench instead even after impressing by scoring the match-winner in the club’s last game.
HJK now travels to Kazakhstan in a fortnight for the second-leg. The capital club only has to beat Astana to go the final and hurdle –the play-offs to partake in the Champions League group stage.]]>
