QUESTION OF THE DAY
The registration exercise is reported to be taking place in two different locations to avoid conflict. It is reported that in one registration centre the process of registration is running smoothly while in the other registration centre the machines appear not to be working thus slowing down the process.
When Foroyaa contacted the IEC Chairman for explanation he promised to find out whether the right thing is being done at the registration centre concerned. Foroyaa will continue its observations today to find out whether the problem still persists. If so, we will not dismiss any allegation of deliberate sabotage of the voter registration process. Civil society monitors would then be called upon to go and see what is happening.
