Mustapha Kebbeh could have an easy ride as the former GFF 
President is seemingly set for an unhindered election come the September 20th football elections.
Gambia Football Federation is yet to make a formal confirmation of nominees in the running up for the vacant football hot seat.
It has been reported that the two camps of Modou Musa and Kebbeh were engaged in discussions since the beginning of the month in order to put up a united front candidate so as to avoid the creation of antagonizing factions among the football stakeholders. However, these talks are said to have broken down without any explanation as to its failure thus leading to the creation of separate camps ahead of the elections.
However, Mustapha Kebbeh could be contesting the seat after three clubs backed his nomination for a second stint with second tier side Serrekunda United, Foroyaa Sport understands, the latest to have filed nomination letters yesterday evening.
Modou Musa, the man who lost to Kebbeh at the last polls, may also put up himself for the top post if the reported negotiations failed.
Meanwhile up to the time of going to press, it was not clear as to whether Musa, a banker by profession, had filed in his nomination papers.
GFF Secretary General, Abass Bah, who is tasked with handling the nominations, would not confirm whether they have received any further names other than Kebbeh’s, but promised to make public the outcome when nomination comes to a close.
A criterion for the GFF presidency states that a candidate must be at least thirty-five years of age with a five-year football experience and without felony conviction and must be nominated by federation members.]]>
