QUESTION OF THE DAY

IS IT REALLY TRUE THAT FERTILISER IS BEING SOLD IN ILLIASA AT D750?

Information reaching Foroyaa from farmers in the Illiassa District, North Bank Region of the Gambia yesterday has it that 50 kilogrammes of fertilizer cost D750 at the Illiassa Secco(buying Point) instead of the D700 announced by NFSC (formerly GGC).

According to the farmers who spoke to Foroyaa on the issue, they were taken aback when they went to secco and were told that the price is D750 per 50kg bag instead of D700 as was announced, especially when they were looking for a further price reduction.

Foroyaa will seek for clarification from the authorities.
