Foroyaa has received reports that 141 Gambians have been repatriated from Tunisia to The Gambia on their own volition. Foroyaa is aware that the travel to greener pastures often requires the investment of huge sums of money in order to reach one’s goal.
It is important for the government to maintain a data base on the returnees and the sum they spent on such journeys. The data could then be utilized to be able to shape policy for the integration of returnees. Foroyaa would try to interview some of the 141 returnees in order to unravel their trials and tribulations.
