By Sulayman Bah Gambia-born midfielder Hassan Kamara is out on the peripheryHassan Kamara after picking up a knock while playing for Chateauroux in the French Ligue 2. The 20-year-old has been sidelined now for over two weeks after getting roughed up in the pitch in struggling Chateauroux’s 1-0 defeat to seventh-placed Nimes. The Gambian who is a defensive midfielder –unearthed by Foroyaa Sport in March -made the line up but had to be hauled off the pitch by coach Gastin before half-time. Hassane winched in pain as he made way for Nomo N’Gong in the 46th minute. In the absence of the left-footed teenager, Chateauroux has been struggling to find cover in the midfield. Karama is expected to however return to the fold at least before end of this month. He’s featured in seven of his club’s ten domestic Ligue 2 matches. Signing a professional contract as an 18-year-old after being fast-tracked from the youth team, Hassane made his debut in April 2014 against Clermont Foot and got his first club goal in a duel against Stade Lavallois. In a Gambian midfield that has Tijan Jaiteh as a recognized anchorman, Hassane’s addition will only bolster that department for the senior Scorpions.]]>
