Circulars have been sent to invite heads of political parties to attend a state ceremony for the burial of Ebrima Solo Sandeng. Ceremony is to take place on 10th January at the Never Again Arch at 9am. It is indicated that the President of the Republic has ordered that Ebrima Solo Sandeng should be offered an official ceremony for his funeral.
It is not clear what the arrangements for this funeral would be. But the state must handle this very carefully so that solemnity and integrity that the dead deserves would not be lost through official parades. There is need to honour the dead and draw lessons from the legacy to help the future generation to learn from the lessons. Foroyaa would report on all the activities surrounding the burial ceremony.
