The Gambian champions face Moroccan domestic league vice champions Olympique Khourigba in the first leg before hosting them for the return leg in Banjul Feb. 27th.

The telecommunication outfit qualified to the tournament –their first in as many years of attempts without success –following their scooping of the Gambian league title last term.

Though details regarding the players are sketchy but it’s understood coach Tapha Manneh flew to the North African country with a strong 24-man delegation including club officials.

Morocco borders Spain and its weather is somewhat frenzy cold and Tapha Manneh and regiment have jetted out at least four days to the match in a bid to acclimatize in time for the cracking first-leg tie.

The Moroccan outfit are a cash-stabled outfit, however, Gamtel believes they have an advantage of making home support count when they (Khourigba) come visiting two weeks later at the Brikama mini-stadium.

Gamtel are no strangers to continental competitions and will make experience count having featured numerous times in the CAF Confederation Cup.
