A Gambian player has said he’s safe after an earthquake hit Chile,
Foroyaa Sport can report.
Modou Lamin Jadama, an American-born Gambian footballer became the
subject of sudden enquiries from loved ones and friends when a deadlyearthquake hit the South American country Chile Wednesday, where he
plies with First Division club Colo-Colo.
The 21-year-old centre-back quickly responded yesterday afternoon
announcing he’s safe. Jadama who’s the first Gambian to play in Chile
has featured more with Colo-Colo’s reserves this year.
At least ten people have been reported dead in the quake that caused
the evacuation of a million of Chileans affected by the natural disaster, according to news report.
Uncapped Modou Lamin made his professional debut for Colo-Colo in his
team clash against Santiago Wanderers in February.
